This project is highly praiseworthy for its efforts to promote sustainable lifestyles and green thinking, particularly among youth and marginalized groups. By empowering youth workers, parents, and other community members to act as green role models, it provides practical and inspirational support at the local level. The use of creative, visually appealing micro-intervention materials, such as sustainability-themed memes, is a standout feature. Memes are a fantastic tool for connecting with young people—they're funny, relatable, and effective at sparking interest in eco-friendly behaviors. Additionally, the game developed as part of the project is truly innovative, serving as a fun and engaging way to socialize while also encouraging reflection on sustainability. This interactive approach adds another dynamic element that resonates well with the target audience. The focus on community involvement and social responsibility is particularly impactful, and the inclusion of a transnational conference is an excellent way to share lessons learned and best practices across countries. The tools and methods developed through this initiative have significant potential to support educators, youth workers, and local organizations well beyond the project's duration. Overall, it’s a brilliant step toward engaging younger generations in sustainability through innovative and interactive approaches. Marina Horvat, Expert Associate for Projects and Programs Croatia

The green meme project is an amazing experience. It’s rare to see a project that seamlessly blends creativity, humour, and environmental advocacy. It’s a perfect example of how technology and art can come together to make a lasting impact on our planet and future. The game is engaging, and creative, and make you think about environmental issues in a whole new way. I love how it combines challenge and reward with a real-world message about climate change and green practices. Tatiana Sasa Youth Worker France

We first noticed the GREEN MEME materials on our social media feed. I became intrigued by the memes presented and explored the other resources as well. As an informal group, we sometimes struggle with the content and structure of our community events, and the ideas presented in the GREEN MEME, complete with all the resources needed to implement them, were not only fun but also completely feasible even for an informal group like ours. Our participants are a diverse group with varied interests, but they all enjoyed the chance to explore daily habits and everyday things that affect our communities, our environment and our planed through the GREEN MEME materials. Congratulations on the creativity and the quality of resources provided. Despoina Dora, Informal Youth Group Leader in Central Macedonia Greece

The project addresses important topics and using green memes to promote sustainable change in young people is definitely a good idea but it must be improved and made more cool. The parts of the green info cards involving the reader are important and useful ("what can I do about it etc"). The quizzes are an interesting challenge but maybe it would be relevant to sponsor it on social media and with a format that engages the users regularly and often in doing the game/challenge to have a good reach. We had the opportunity to explore the GREEN MEME resources and we have used the GREEN MEME game as an ice-breaking activity in environmentally focused events; it provided our participants a chance to connect in a humorous and engaging manner while also highlighting important issues, omissions, habits, and misconceptions about sustainability and the impact of our daily actions and its cumulative effect. The materials developed under the project will be a staple in our range of resources and activities and some of the memes developed will be hanging on our walls! We believe the GREEN MEME project to be very innovative for its methodology that combines practical interventions with low-impact tools, engaging people to promote ecological thinking and behaviours in both physical and digital spaces. It is important because it empowers communities to adopt sustainable practices, fosters social responsibility, and inspires lasting change towards a more environmentally conscious society. The truly "life-or-death" environmental and social sustainability issues must undoubtedly be introduced to young people. However, if we only provide information or address them using our "Boomer/ Gen-X" tools, we will never achieve a change in their attitudes. This can only be accomplished by encouraging them to take responsible action. Whether they create a meme, a reel, or a sticker, it should be their decision, and we should entrust them with a guiding role and responsibility. The Green Meme Effect project sets an example in this regard. Csilla Lazar, Spectrum Educational Centre Romania

The Green Meme Effect project proves to be a great initiative due to its ability to seamlessly integrate fun, interactive sustainability education into our already existing curriculum. Being a rural training centre, this project allows us to support professional development for teachers by ups killing them with digital tools to practically implement in their classrooms. This also attracts students and stakeholders interested in sustainability. Additionally, its focus on creating a ripple effect aligns with local environmental challenges in southern Spain, such as water conservation and renewable energy, making it culturally and regionally relevant. Considering the new way of communication among young people and the widespread use of MEMES, I think it is a good way to reach out to them. The blog posts, info cards and quizzes seem like informative and appealing resources for environmental awareness of youth. As for the project's website, it is dynamic and beautiful, with an aesthetic that is in keeping with the theme and adapted to the style of young people. Regarding the game, I find interesting (and useful) the idea that it can be played both online and in person, to be used in the office if you are a youth association for example. Overall, the project results seem extremely well designed, in a format that directly captivates young people, maintains their engagement, and supports learning. It is a fresh and innovative support we do not often see in eco-related projects. Likewise, the specific methodology of the project, leverages to the full everyday habits and interest of the target groups. As Hopeland, we commend both the project, and its results and we believe they have the capacity to exceed the direct runtime and scope of the project. As Roes, we have also created a card, non-formal education methodology-based game, and it was met with high interest and success. Thank you for bringing this project to our attention. HOPELAND Greece

Our students were very engaged in the project. They especially enjoyed the Green Info Cards and the meme stickers. They also had a lot of fun playing the online game during the events held at the Erasmus Days 2024 together with Auxilium. One of our students also won the call for artists and has two of her original artworks featured in the game. We will definitely continue to use the project results in our work! The Green Meme Effect project offered a highly effective approach to raising environmental awareness. The project manages to raise environmental awareness by providing an educational and entertaining platform for young people. The website attracts the attention of young people with its user-friendly design and interactive content and provides them with information about environmental issues. Moreover, the game on the project website makes the learning process more enjoyable and encourages young people to develop environmentally friendly habits. Thanks to both digital tools and creative outputs, the project provides an ideal learning environment where young people can actively participate in understanding their environmental responsibilities. Sharing the outputs of the Green Meme project with Faal Association volunteers and using them in our own activities offers a great opportunity to raise environmental awareness. The interactive website and game developed offer highly entertaining and instructive tools for young people. By introducing these resources to our volunteers, we can give them the opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge on environmental issues and share this information with wider audiences. By using them in our activities, we can create an experience that is both educational and interactive, enabling participants to develop an environmentally sensitive perspective. The materials included in this project are very much in line with the mission of our association and are a great tool to make young people more active in environmental issues.
